As a new organization, Certus is not currently accredited to ISO 17024. However, we have designed our management system and certification schemes to conform to the requirements of ISO 17024 Conformity assessment—General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.
Accreditation is a voluntary process that provides third-party attestation to grant formal demonstration of consistent operation, competence, and impartiality in performing certification activities. Certus management considers this process to be important for our organization.
The validity of a certification comes from the rigor and integrity of the certification processes and from the team who support them.
At Certus, auditors who desire auditor certification must demonstrate professional experience, audit experience, and training. They also must pass a comprehensive knowledge exam based on the respective ISO standards and ISO 19011.
Our team of professionals combine decades of experience, knowledge, and demonstrated integrity to guide the development of our certification processes, schemes, and customer service.
Certus management has committed to initiating the accreditation process in 2021.
It’s important to note that two of the largest management system auditor certification bodies—CQI-IRCA and Exemplar Global—are also NOT accredited.
